About Us

We are a small but growing Episcopal Church in the heart of the Menifee Valley in Riverside County. St. Stephen’s started in 1982 with a group of seniors who were determined to start an Episcopal Church in Sun City. Those first pioneers started worshiping in the Evans Brown Mortuary and quickly built a church on a five acre parcel of land in 1985.The church has grown over the years and eventually included more families with young children. We continue to be an outreach resource for the seniors in the area, we have added a preschool, and we are working on a beautiful garden on our grounds. We are an inclusive church and our worship service is very user friendly; with the entire service projected on a screen at the front of the altar.
